IGP visits election training programme for police personnel in Khulna

KHULNA, Nov 15, 2025 (BSS) - Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam 
today visited the ongoing election training centres for police members in 
Khulna ahead of the upcoming national polls.

The training, aimed at enhancing the efficiency, professionalism and 
operational capability of police personnel engaged in election duties, began 
on 5 October. 

All members of the police force will undergo the training in phases.

During the visit, the IGP exchanged views with the participating trainees and 
inspected different training activities. 

Later, he joined a views-exchange meeting held at the hall room of the Police 
Training Centre (PTC), Khulna, with police officers and forces working in 
various units across the Khulna division.

Addressing the event, the IGP said that professionalism, integrity and skill 
must be ensured at all levels of the police force to conduct the upcoming 
national election in a free, fair and neutral manner. 

He also provided several necessary directives in this regard.

Terming the training programme highly significant, he expressed optimism that 
it would greatly assist police members in performing their duties at polling 
stations and in maintaining law and order during the election period.

Khulna Metropolitan Police Commissioner Md Zulfiqar Ali Haider, DIG of Khulna 
Range Md Rezaul Haque, Commandant of PTC Khulna Md Mahbubur Rahman Bhuiyan, 
Additional Police Commissioners and senior officials of various police units 
were present during the visit.
