JU Prof Adil appointed Member of Commonwealth Association of Planners’ Board of Trustees

JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, Nov 27, 2025 (BSS) - Professor Dr Adil Mohammed Khan of the Urban and Regional Planning Department at Jahangirnagar University has been appointed as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Commonwealth Association of Planners (CAP) for the 2026-27 term.

JU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan congratulated Professor Adil on the appointment, terming the international recognition a significant achievement for the university as well as for urban and regional planning education and research in Bangladesh, said a press release issued today.

"The new role will contribute to advancing the country's urban, regional and rural planning practices, strengthening international collaboration, and promoting academic excellence," the Vice-Chancellor said.

He also wished Professor Adil continued success and wellbeing.
