60 youth secured jobs at Gazipur employment fair

GAZIPUR, Nov 27, 2025 (BSS) - A job fair aimed at enhancing professional skills and creating employment opportunities for youth was held in Kaliganj upazila of the district, where 60 trained youths secured jobs.

The fair took place on Thursday morning in Dakshin Bhadartti village of Tumulia union, organized by the Eco Social Development Organization (ESDO), a non-governmental development organization. The initiative was implemented with joint funding from UNICEF and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

Kaliganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) ATM Kamrul Islam attended the event as the chief guest. 

Abul Hossain, Assistant Director of the Non-Formal Education Board under the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, ASM Rajiul Islam, Assistant Project Manager of ESDO Gazipur District and representatives from various government and private organizations were also present.

Organizers stated that the initiative would significantly contribute to ensuring financial independence and active social participation for unemployed youth. More than 200 youths who received technical training from ESDO participated in the fair. 

They were trained in beauty care, computer operation, swing operation, digital marketing for freelancing, and graphics design for freelancing, and successfully passed the Technical Education Board examinations.

Through this fair, 60 youths were employed across 11 organizations in Gazipur, Narsingdi, and Narayanganj districts.
