Tarique Rahman to be a statesman in future: Prof Nurul Amin

DHAKA, Nov 30, 2025 (BSS) – Eminent political scientist Prof Dr Nurul Amin Bepari today said the thought about public welfare-oriented state of Tarique Rahman who is carrying the legacy of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman would help play an important role in the overall progress of Bangladesh.

“If BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman’s thought for the state is properly implemented for building a new Bangladesh . . . he will become a statesman in the days to come,” said Prof Nurul Amin, also former chairman of Dhaka University (DU) Political Science Department.

The “Initiative for Policy and Politics (IPP)”organized the dialogue titled "Tarique Rahman's State Thought and the Path of Future Bangladesh" at the RC Majumder Auditorium on the DU campus.

At the event, DU Arts Faculty Dean Professor Dr Siddiqur Rahman Khan presented an article on Tarique Rahman's national thought, highlighting various aspects of his (Tarique) national thought in his article. 

Tarique Rahman's Adviser Dr Mahdi Amin as keynote speaker gave a detailed speech on the national thought of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and the outline of the future of Bangladesh.
He said ‘Bangladesh First’ is Tarique Rahman’s policy in building a new Bangladesh based on equality and fairness.

Dr Mahdi Amin gave a detailed outlines of speech on Tarique Rahman’s 31-point, including family card, farmer's card and health card.

Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) Vice-President Md Nizam Uddin presided over the dialogue, while another JCD Vice-President Hasan Al Arif and JCD Joint Secretary Farhan Arif also took part in the discussion.
