Founder chairman of Group Q A Zainul Abedin passes away

DHAKA, Nov 30, 2025(BSS) - Eminent businessman and Founder Chairman of Group Q A Quazi AFM Zainul Abedin died of old-age complications while undergoing treatment at the Evercare Hospital in the capital here today.

He was 93.

He left behind his wife, two sons, relatives, friends and well-wishers to mourn his death.

Quazi Zainul Abedin, a patron of education, distinguished industrial entrepreneur and humanitarian personality, established many educational institutions in Dhaka and Manikganj. He founded Kaniz Fatema Girls School and College in Manikganj that has been contributing in spreading women education in the district.

His first namaz-e-janaza will be held at Gulshan Azad Mosque at about 7.20pm today and the second namaz-e-janaza would be held at Kaniz Fatema Girls School and College in Manikganj after Zohr prayer tomorrow. 

Later, he will be buried at the graveyard near the girl’s school there.
