HABIGANJ, Dec 3, 2025 (BSS) – Newly joined member of BNP and eminent economist Dr Reza Kibria has alleged that autocrat ruler Sheikh Hasina has protected the people who were involved in killing of his father. 

Reza Kibria, son of the late Awami League leader and former finance minister Shah A M S Kibria, made the remarks on Wednesday afternoon while speaking to journalists after a milad mahfil at his ancestral home in Jalalsap village of Nabiganj upazila. 

The prayer event was organized seeking early recovery of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

“Sheikh Hasina has protected my father’s killers for the last 15 years. This raises suspicions that this murder was committed at her order,” he told reporters. 

Leaders and activists from Nabiganj Upazila BNP and its affiliated organizations attended the prayer gathering.
