Fire drill held at CSIA

CHATTOGRAM, Dec 3, 2025 (BSS)- Authorities of Chattogram Shah Amanat 
International Airport (CSIA) successfully completed the fire drill to assess 
and review its overall security capability. 

Following the directives of Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), 
the CSIA arranged the medium range fire protection rehearsal session at about 
11.15am today held at open space attached to the airport cargo warehouse. 

Airport fire section, Aviation Security (AVSEC), APBN, Bangladesh Navy, Air 
Force, Fire Service and Civil Defense and medical unit of CSIA took part in 
the fire drill, CSIA sources said. 

Putting fire on the abandoned garbage near the airport cargo warehouse and 
dousing the spreading blaze successfully was part of the fire drill session, 
the sources added.
 
CSIA Director Group Captain Sheikh Abdullah Alamgir, CISA senior officials 
including Sadhan Kumer Mohanta and Abdullah Al Momin, among others, attended 
the event.
