Outgoing head of UN Human Rights Office meets Jamaat Amer

DHAKA, Dec 4, 2025 (BSS)- Head of the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Dhaka Huma Khan paid a farewell call on Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman today.

The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere at the Jamaat chief’s office in Bashundhara this morning, said a press release. 

During the discussion, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman conveyed his best wishes to Huma Khan as she embarks on her next assignment, appreciating her contributions during her tenure in Bangladesh.

Huma Khan expressed hope that the overall human rights situation in Bangladesh would continue to improve in the coming days.
