BMU observes Martyred Intellectuals' Day

DHAKA, Dec 14, 2025 (BSS)- Bangladesh Medical University (BMU) today observed the Martyred Intellectuals' Day with due dignity.

Acting Vice Chancellor and Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr Md Abul Kalam Azad paid tribute by laying wreaths at the Martyred Intellectuals Memorial in Mirpur along with senior officials of the university, deans, teachers, chairmen of various departments, office heads, doctors, students, nurses, medical technologists and employees.

After paying homage, prayers were offered there for the eternal peace of the departed souls of the martyrs. 

On the occasion, prayers were also offered at the BMU Central Jama Masjid after Zohr prayers.

BMU's Pro-Vice Chancellor (Research and Development) Professor Dr Md Mujibur Rahman Howlader, Treasurer Professor Dr Nahrin Akhtar, Registrar Professor Dr Md Nazrul Islam, Proctor Dr Sheikh Farhad, Director (hospital) Brigadier General Md Irteka Rahman, Director (Finance and Accounts) Khandaker Shafiqul Hasan Ratan, Director (Human Resource Management Department) Md. Masud Rana and Neurosurgeon Specialist Dr Md Ruhul Quddus Biplob, among others, were present at the events.
