Prime suspect Foysal's wife, 2 others remanded in Hadi murder attempt case

DHAKA, Dec 15, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today placed three people, including 
the wife of prime suspect Foysal Karim Masud, on a five-day remand each in a 
case filed over the attempt to murder Inqilab Moncho spokesperson Sharif 
Osman Hadi.
 
The remanded accused are Saheda Pervin Samia, wife of Foysal Karim Masud, her 
brother Wahid Ahmed, and Maria Akter Lima.
 
Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Joshita Islam passed the order 
after police produced the trio before the court and sought seven days' remand 
for each of them.
 
Sharif Osman Hadi, an independent parliamentary candidate for Dhaka-8 and 
spokesperson of Inqilab Moncho, was shot on December 12 in the capital's 
Bijoynagar Box Culvert area.
 
According to the case statement, two assailants riding a motorcycle opened 
fire on Hadi while he was traveling on a battery-run rickshaw and then fled 
the scene. Inqilab Moncho member secretary Abdullah Al Zaber filed the case 
with Paltan Model Police Station on December 14.
