DHAKA, Dec 28, 2025 (BSS) - Hasan Al Mamun has been given the charge of the general secretary of the Gono Odhikar Parishad (GOP).
 
A press release of the GOP signed by its Office Secretary Shakil Uzzaman said today.

In accordance with the GOP's constitution and based on the opinions of the party's high-level council members and executive committee members, Mamun has been made as the general secretary (acting), it said.

Party insiders said this decision was taken to make the GOP's organisational activities more dynamic and effective at present.

Hasan Al Mamun would be able to play an important role in strengthening the organisational activities of the GOP, political programmes and party coordination getting the new position, the release added.
