SC operation resumes after vacation

DHAKA, Jan 04, 2026 (BSS) - The operation of the Supreme Court resumed today after the end of government holidays, weekly holidays and court vacation.

The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) is scheduled to accord a reception to newly appointed Chief Justice Zubayer Rahman Chowdhury.

The reception ceremony will be held at Courtroom No. 1 of the Appellate Division at 10:30 am.

Earlier, Justice Zubayer Rahman Chowdhury took oath as the country's 26th Chief Justice on December 28, 2025.
