DHAKA, Jan 5, 2026 (BSS) - Dhaka University unit of Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi 
Chhatra Dal today paid homage at the graves of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman 
and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. 

Placing floral wreaths, the leaders and activists of the unit offered prayers 
and recited Fateha at the mausoleums.

DU JCD President Ganesh Chandra Roy Sahos, Senior Vice-President Md Masum 
Billah, Vice-President Anisur Rahman Khondkar Anik, General Secretary 
Nahiduzzaman Shipon, Senior Joint General Secretary Md Nasir Uddin Shawon, 
and Organizing Secretary Md Nur Alam Bhuiyan Iman, along with the full 
committee and hall committees, were present during the homage paying.

After the prayers, Ganesh Chandra Roy Sahos said Begum Khaleda Zia remains a 
living symbol of Bangladesh's independence, sovereignty, and national unity. 
"The student leaders would work for the welfare of the country following her 
ideals and plans," he said.
