DHAKA, Jan 15, 2026 (BSS) - In a move to streamline the voting process for the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election and Referendum in 2026, Bangladesh Bank (BB) has issued a formal directive to all scheduled banks regarding the use of the "Postal Vote BD" app.

The central bank’s Banking Regulation and Policy Department-1 today issued a circular, instructing the Managing Directors and Chief Executives of all scheduled banks to facilitate IT-supported postal balloting for their employees.

According to the circular, bank officials and employees who are appointed for election duties are advised to complete their registration on the "Postal Vote BD" mobile application immediately after receiving their official appointment letters.

The initiative is designed to ensure that those serving on the front lines of election management can exercise their right to vote through a digital, IT-supported postal ballot system.
