BNP to prioritise education sector if voted to power: Tuku

TANGAIL, Jan 17, 2026 (BSS)- BNP Publicity Secretary and candidate from Tangail-5 constituency Sultan Salahuddin Tuku has said BNP would give the highest priority to education sector if it comes to power through people’s mandate in the February 12 election.

He was addressing the prize distribution ceremony of the annual sports competition and reception organised by the Shaheen Education Family at the Shaheed Smriti Municipal Park in Tangail town this morning.

On the occasion scholarships were given to meritorious students and traditional pitha festival was arranged.

Tuku said BNP would take maximum measures to ensure the proper and effective management of educational institutions across the country. 

BNP has a commitment to create employment opportunities for one crore youths, he said adding that educated but unemployed youths would get allowances for up to one year. He pledged to take initiatives so that no youth in the district remains unemployed.

Chaired by the Chairman of Shaheen Education Family Muhammad Masudul Amin, it was addressed by District BNP President Hasanuzzamil Shaheen as the main speaker.

Among others, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md Mujibul Ahsan, BNP leaders Md Mahmudul Haque Sanu and Azgar Ali were present as special guests.
