Corrupt people won’t be able to do politics in future: Mamunul Haque

SHARIATPUR, Feb 3, 2026 (BSS) - Amir of Khilafat Majlis Maulana Mamunul Haque has said corrupt people would no longer be able to take the helm in politics in future.

He made the remarks while addressing an election rally of the 11-party alliance as the chief guest at the Shariatpur Municipality Ground on Monday night.

Mamunul Haque said, “The people of Bangladesh do not want to see a political system dominated by money and muscle power.” He said that the country’s freedom-loving people are now more aware about their rights and they will elect the people with clean image in the upcoming general election”. 

“We, the 11-party Alliance, have come to deliver a clear message to the people in this election,” he said. “Politics based on corruption and terrorism will no longer continue in Bangladesh.”

He further said that those who depend on black money, muscle power, and terrorism to capture state power should realize that their time is over. 

The rally was also addressed by the 11-party alliance candidate for the Shariatpur-1 constituency and Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis Central Secretary General Maulana Jalaluddin Ahmed, and Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh leader Dr. Mosharraf Hossain Masud.

Leaders and activists of the 11-party alliance were present at the public meeting.
