NARAYANGANJ, Feb 8, 2026 (BSS) – Election Coordinator of the National Citizen Party (NCP) Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain today called for forging greater unity to fight for the rights of the people and to ensure justice for past killings.

“We must fight unitedly for the people of Bangladesh. If elected, we will ensure trials for all killings, starting from the Shapla Chattar massacre to the Hadi murder,” he said.

He made the remarks while addressing an election rally at Bhuigarh in Fatullah on Saturday night. The rally was organised by Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish.

“People’s destiny will change through the February 12 elections,” Asif said, adding that the people of the country will determine whether the change is good or bad.

He said people associated with the NCP are working together to build a Bangladesh free from extortion and terrorism.

The election rally was also addressed by Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish Amir Maulana Mamunul Huq and NCP candidate Adv. Abdullah Al Amin, among others.
