RAJSHAHI, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS)- Mizanur Rahman Minu, the victorious BNP 
candidate from Rajshahi-2 (Sadar), has warned that extortionists will be 
dealt with firmly. 

He said, "I was born here. I know who does what here. Everyone will be 
suppressed with a firm hand." 

On Friday, after offering Jumma prayers at the Hazrat Shah Makhdum (R.) 
Dargah Mosque in Rajshahi, he exchanged greetings with the public. 

Later, while speaking to journalists, the adviser to the BNP chairperson 
reiterated his warning against extortionists. 

He said, "Those who are enemies of the nation, land grabbers, extortionists, 
or who oppress the people-whoever they may be-will be suppressed with a firm 
hand. Those who have occupied various lands and properties over the past 17 
years and the last one and a half years will be brought under the law." 

Minu added, "Rajshahi will be developed as a city of peace. Those who 
participated in this election are all my brothers. I want us to build 
Rajshahi together." 

At the time, Minu's chief election agent Waliul Haque Rana, Rajshahi 
Metropolitan BNP General Secretary Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, and BNP leader Abul 
Kalam Azad Sweet, among others, were present.
