BNP wins unofficially in 14 Ctg seats, Jamaat 2

CHATTOGRAM, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS)- In the 13th National Parliamentary Election, 
the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) secured victory in 14 out of 16 seats 
in Chattogram, with the remaining two seats going to Bangladesh Jamaat-e-
Islami candidates.
 
The unofficial results were announced on Thursday night following the voting. 
BNP candidates emerged victorious by significant margins in most 
constituencies, although some seats saw close contests. 

For instance, in the Chattogram-1 (Mirsarai) constituency, BNP candidate 
Nurul Amin (Sheaf of Paddy) unofficially won with 128,799 votes, while Jamaat 
candidate Saifur Rahman (Daripalla) received 84,538 votes.
 
In the Chattogram-2 (Fatikchhari) constituency, BNP's Sarwar Alamgir won with 
138,545 votes while Jamaat-nominated candidate Mohammad Nurul Amin received 
62,160 votes. 

In the Chattogram-3 (Sandwip) constituency, BNP candidate Mustafa Kamal Pasha 
emerged victorious with 73,037 votes, including postal votes, while Jamaat 
candidate Alauddin Sikder secured 39,662 votes.
 
In the Chattogram-4 (Sitakund and partially City) constituency, BNP candidate 
Mohammad Aslam Chowdhury received 142,674 votes with the symbol "Sheaf of 
Paddy" while Jamaat's Md. Anwar Siddique got 89,268 votes with "Daripalla". 

In the Chattogram-5 (Hathazari) constituency, BNP's Barrister Mir Mohammad 
Helal Uddin (Sheaf of Paddy) acquired 143,965 votes defeating Khilafat 
Majlis' candidate Maulana Md. Nasir Uddin Munir (Rickshaw) who received 
44,708 votes.
 
In the Chattogram-6 (Raujan) constituency, BNP candidate Gias Uddin Quader 
Chowdhury secured 1,12,237 votes while Mohammad Ilias Noori (Mombati) of the 
Islamic Front received 27,146 votes.
 
In the Chattogram-7 (Rangunia) constituency, BNP's Humam Quader Chowdhury won 
with 1,11,445 votes while Dr. ATM Rezaul Karim, the Jamaat candidate, 
received 41,719 votes.
 
BNP candidate Ershad Ullah secured victory in the Chattogram-8 (Boalkhali-
Chandgaon) constituency with 150,737 votes after defeating Jamaat candidate 
Abu Naser who received 52,033 votes. 

In Chattogram-9 (Kotwali) constituency, BNP's Mohammad Abu Sufian garnered 
109,388 votes while Jamaat candidate Dr. AKM Fazlul Haque received 53,807 
votes.
 
Moving on to the Chattogram-10 constituency, BNP's Sayed Al Noman received 
121,364 votes, surpassing Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Mohammad Shamsuzzaman 
Helali, who got 74,407 votes. 

In Chattogram-11 constituency, BNP candidate Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury 
secured victory with 1,15,999 votes, defeating Jamaat candidate Mohammad 
Shafiul Alam, who received 76,681 votes. 

In the Chattogram-12 (Patiya) constituency, BNP candidate Enamul Haque Enam 
secured 1,35,044 votes while Islamic Front's Syed Air Mohammad Payaru 
received 28,999 votes. 

Moving on to the Chattogram-13 constituency, BNP candidate Sarwar Jamal Nizam 
garnered 1,26,192 votes with Islamic Front's SM Shahjahan coming in second 
with 51,450 votes. 

In Chattogram-14, BNP's Jasim Uddin Ahmed emerged victorious with 76,493 
votes, narrowly beating LDP's Professor Omar Faruk who received 75,467 votes, 
a difference of only 1,026 votes. 

In the Chattogram-15 constituency, Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Shahjahan 
Chowdhury (Daripalla) received 181,238 votes while BNP's Nazmul Mustafa Amin 
secured 130,661 votes. 

Lastly, in the Chattogram-16 constituency, Jamaat Islami candidate Maulana 
Zahirul Islam (Daripalla) won with 93,167 votes, defeating BNP candidate 
Mishkatul Islam Chowdhury Pappa, who received 83,105 votes.
