Qulkhani of jouro Didarul Alam's mother held in Cumilla

CUMILLA, March 6, 2026 (BSS) - The Qulkhani of late Achhia Begum, mother of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Bangla Section Chief Reporter Didarul Alam, was held in Cumilla this afternoon.

On the occasion, doa and milad mahfils were organized at several madrasas and orphanages in Mainamati Union of Burichang Upazila.

A special doa and iftar mahfil was also arranged seeking eternal peace for the departed soul. Food was distributed among orphans and madrasa students to mark the Qulkhani.

Among those who attended the programme were local elites and political leaders, including BNP leader Principal Salauddin, 11-party alliance nominated candidate for the Cumilla-5 constituency Dr. Mobarrak Hossain, Mainamati Upazila Bastabayan Andolon convener Engineer Abdul Muntakim, BNP leader Daniul Huq, Abdel Hossain Badal and Mainamati Union Parishad Chairman Lalon Haider.

Achhia Begum passed away at her residence in Cumilla on March 3 due to old age complications. She was 79.
