CUMILLA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - National Citizen Party (NCP) Chief Organizer
for Southern Region Hasnat Abdullah, who has been unofficially elected from
the Cumilla-4 (Debidwar) constituency in the 13th Jatiya Sangsad (JS)
Election, today said the trust and confidence of the people were the main
driving forces behind his victory.

"This election was a contest between me and a large, influential political
group. But the people stood by my side. They had faith in me. That is why I
have emerged victorious," he told a view exchange meeting with journalists at
Cumilla Town Hall ground on this afternoon.

Hasnat Abdullah said his party would work to establish justice in society.
"We will strive to build a system where even my political opponent does not
face any injustice. Our efforts will focus on rebuilding the broken state
structure," he added.

Referring to the elimination of fascism as a key objective, he said the core
commitments of his party "NCP" include ensuring accountability, maintaining
zero tolerance against corruption and overhauling the state structure.
