Tarique Rahman stands by ailing farmer in Gaibandha

BOGURA, Feb 15, 2026 (BSS) - BNP chairman and chief patron of 'Amra BNP Poribar', Tarique Rahman extended financial assistance to Mozammel Haque, a 48-year-old farmer suffering from kidney and heart ailments in Gaibandha district.

Following instructions from Tarique Rahman, a delegation on behalf of 'Amra BNP Poribar' visited the residence of Mozammel Haque at Chak Bhogmanpur village and handed over Tk 50,000 in cash assistance today.

Family members said Mozammel has been struggling to continue treatment amid mounting financial hardship. The situation worsened after he lost his only son to blood cancer around a year and a half ago.

His wife, Rani Begum, expressed gratitude for the assistance and offered prayers for Tarique Rahman's good health and long life.

Kalam Azad, coordinator of BNP Media Cell for Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions and general secretary of Bogura Press Club, handed over the financial aid on behalf of 'Amra BNP Poribar'.
