DHAKA, Feb 16, 2026 (BSS) – A court here today ordered the attachment of land worth Taka 4.27 crore in Cumilla belonging to Nasrin Islam, a director of EXIM Bank and NASSA Group.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Sabbir Faiz passed the order, allowing a plea of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

According to the ACC plea, Nasrin, wife of NASSA Group chairman Nazrul Islam Mazumder, abused her power and acquired assets worth Taka 20.26 crore through bribery and corruption, disproportionate to her known sources of income, prompting the anti-graft body to file a case against her.

It said that during the investigation, information gathered from various sources indicated that the accused was attempting to sell or transfer her movable and immovable properties. The petition further noted that if the illegally acquired assets are transferred, converted, or sold before disposal of the case, it would cause significant loss to the state.

Therefore, it added, attaching the immovable properties owned or possessed by the accused is necessary in the interest of justice.
