DHAKA, Feb 16, 2026 (BSS) - A court here today imposed a travel ban on
consumer electronics company Rangs Electronics Limited Managing Director (MD)
Ekram Hussain, his brother and company Deputy Managing Director (DMD) Beanus
Hussain and their mother Sachimi Ogawara Hussain.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Sabbir Faiz passed the order,
allowing a plea of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

The ACC plea said Ekram Hussain, Beanus Hussain and others are accused of
illegally acquiring wealth and laundering an estimated Taka 15,000 to Taka
20,000 crore abroad.

It said secret inquiries and complaints revealed that Ekram Hussain, Beanus
Hussain and their family members own substantial movable and immovable
properties at home and abroad. Confidential sources further indicated that
they are attempting to transfer or relocate these illegally acquired assets.

Therefore, imposing travel restrictions on the accused is urgently necessary
to prevent the transfer of their assets and to preserve evidence of their
alleged criminal activities, in the interest of justice, the petition added.
