Sramik Dal issues strict warning against extortion

DHAKA, Feb 26, 2026 (BSS)- Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal today issued strict directives to responsible leaders of all units to prevent extortion and maintain law and order across the country.

The measure has been taken as per the instruction of BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, said a notice signed by the party’s Publicity Secretary Manjurul Islam Manju.

Earlier, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman summoned Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas, chief coordinator of the Sammilito Sramik Parishad and Member of Parliament from Pabna-5 constituency.

In the notice sent to responsible leaders of different units, the Sramik Dal urged all workers employed in mills and factories, transport services, footpaths, shops, offices and courts, and other business establishments to refrain from any activity contrary to law and order.
