DHAKA, Mar 5, 2026 (BSS) – Punitive measures have been taken against those responsible for irregularities found during an inspection of the Siddhirganj Union Land Office in Narayanganj.

State Minister for Land Barrister Kaisar Kamal visited the Siddhirganj Union Land Office yesterday and on arrival at the office at 9.10 am he observed that some officials were arriving at 9.30 am while others were coming as late as 9.45 am.

Even after the scheduled office hours had begun, not all staff members were present.

In such a situation, the state minister waited on the veranda of the land office. However, after a long wait, the responsible officials still did not arrive at the office.

Expressing his disappointment, the state minister for land said that action would be taken against those negligent in their duties in accordance with the rules.

As part of the punitive measures, one Union Land Assistant and one Union Land Sub-Assistant Officer of the Siddhirganj Land Office have been transferred to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner in Gopalganj today, a PID handout said today.

Show-cause notices have also been issued to others for departmental action.
