CAG visits defence accounts offices at Dhaka Cantonment

DHAKA, March 5, 2026 (BSS) - The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of Bangladesh, Md. Nurul Islam, today visited several Defence Accounts offices at Dhaka Cantonment to review the progress of military pension and other service-related activities.

During the visit, the CAG inspected the offices of the Senior Finance Controller (Army), Finance Controller (Army) Log Area, Additional Chief Controller of Defence Finance, and the Chief Controller of Defence Finance (Pension and Fund).

An Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate release stated this afternoon that the visit was conducted to assess the progress of military pension services and related administrative activities.

During the inspection, the CAG instructed the concerned officials to ensure proper implementation of the Government Employees (Regular Attendance) Rules 2019. 

He also directed them to guarantee that all service recipients, including pensioners, receive their entitled services smoothly ahead of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.

The Controller General Defence Finance, the Senior Finance Controller (Army), and the heads of the respective offices were present during the visit.
