Written exam for 6th batch of freelancing training program tomorrow

DHAKA, March 5, 2026 (BSS) - The written examination for the 6th batch of the freelancing training program under the department of youth development will be held simultaneously in all 64 districts of the country tomorrow.

The examination will begin at 9:00 am, with around 60,000 candidates expected to participate.

A total of 110,743 applicants applied for 4,800 seats in this batch of the freelancing training programme. From them, selected applicants have been shortlisted to sit for the written test. Through this examination, qualified candidates will be selected to receive freelancing training.

The program, implemented by the department of youth development, has gradually expanded and now covers all 64 districts of the country.

Initially, the project was implemented in 16 districts and later expanded to 48 districts. It is now being conducted simultaneously in all 64 districts, marking the largest initiative in the history of the program. The responsibility for conducting the training activities at the field level has been assigned to E-Learning and Earning Limited.

According to officials concerned, a total of 4,800 trainees will be finally selected from around 60,000 candidates participating in the written examination.

Candidates who pass the written test will take part in the viva voce on March 7. Based on the final results, the 6th batch of the freelancing training program will begin with 75 trainees selected from each district.

Under this project, a total of 10,800 students have completed training so far. Among them, around 62 percent, or 6,732 trainees, have been able to earn through work on various national and international freelancing marketplaces. Their total earnings amount to about 1,353,636 US dollars, equivalent to approximately Tk 227,014,416 in Bangladeshi taka.
