JCD President Rakibul Islam calls on JUJA members

JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, March 5, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) President Rakibul Islam Rakib today paid a courtesy call on the members of the Jahangirnagar University Journalists' Association (JUJA) on the university campus.

During the meeting, held around 7:30 pm at the JUJA office, Rakib lauded the contribution of campus journalists during the regime of ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and acknowledged their role in highlighting various issues related to the university.

He also spoke about the role played by campus journalists during the July Uprising, saying their reporting helped bring important events on campus to national attention.

JCD Joint Secretaries Shahriar Haque Mazumder Shimul and Md Rabbi Hasan, Jahangirnagar University JCD Convenor Jahir Uddin Mohammad Babor, Member Secretary Wasim Ahmed Anik, along with other leaders and activists of the JU Unit of Chhatra Dal, were present on the occasion.

From the JUJA side, its President Mehedi Mamun, Treasurer Razib Rayhan, Office and Publication Secretary Mah Alam, Executive Members Soikat Islam and Md Rasel Mahmud, among others, including members of the association, were present at the meeting.
