SC holiday set from May 25 to 31 for Eid-ul-Azha

DHAKA, May 17, 2026 (BSS) – Both the Appellate Division and the High Court Division of the Supreme Court (SC) will remain closed for the Eid-ul-Azha vacation from May 25 to May 31.

The official activities of both divisions of the Bangladesh Supreme Court will continue on May 23, according to a notification signed by Supreme Court Registrar General Mohammad Habibur Rahman Siddiquee.

All subordinate courts and tribunals across the country will also remain closed for the Eid-ul-Azha vacation from May 25 to May 31.

The government on May 14 announced a weeklong holiday on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha from May 25 to May 31, saying that emergency services would remain outside the scope of the holiday.
