RAJSHAHI, May 30, 2026 (BSS) - A book fair and a voluntary blood donation program were inaugurated at Bhuban Mohan Park in the city today, marking the 45th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, Bir Uttam.

Land Minister Mizanur Rahman Minu, MP, formally inaugurated the book fair, organized by Zia Smriti Pathagar and the blood donation drive, arranged by Rajshahi Mohanagar Chhatra Dal.

Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, Administrator of Rajshahi City Corporation and General Secretary of Rajshahi Mohanagar BNP, attended the event as the special guest. Following the inauguration, the guests toured the various stalls at the book fair.

The event was also attended by Advocate Syed Shahin Shawkat, Organizing Secretary of the BNP Central Executive Committee (Rajshahi Division), Mamun-or-Rashid Mamun, President of Rajshahi Mohanagar BNP, Senior Vice President Nazrul Huda and Vice President Waliul Haque Rana.

Rajshahi Mahanagar Chhatra Dal Convener Rakin Raihan Robin and Member Secretary Emdadul Haque Limon were present, alongside local leaders from various ward, thana and affiliate organizations of the BNP.
