DHAKA, June 8, 2026 (BSS) - Police arrested 25 people in a special drive for their alleged involvement in various criminal activities.

The arrests were made on Sunday during the raids conducted in different crime-prone areas under the jurisdiction of Jatrabari Police Station, according to a press release issued today. 

The arrested individuals are Md. Kamrul Hasan, 35, Md. Abdullah 23, Md. Shafiqul, 20, Md. Salam, 26, Main Uddin, 21, Abir, 25, Nayeem, 20, Md. Raju, 28, Md. Salauddin, 43, Saiful Islam, 43, Md. Riaz, 24, Md. Mahfuz Ahmed Dipu, 40, Nazma Begum, 52, Md. Selim, 50, Md. Swapan, 38, Md. Ziaul Ashik, 24, Md. Monir Khan, 30, Md. Milon, 40, Md. Milon, 35, Md. Oliullah, 20, Md. Rony, 33, Rubel Sheikh, 32, Rubel Hossain Rana, 30, Md. Halim, 30, and Zakir Hossain, 40.

Police said such operations will continue in an effort to curb crime and maintain peaceful law and order in the area.
