World Accreditation Day tomorrow

Dhaka, June 8, 2026 (BSS) - World Accreditation Day will be observed tomorrow 
in the country like elsewhere around the world. 

The International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and the International Laboratory 
Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) observe June 9 each year as World 
Accreditation Day.

Like other countries around the world, Bangladesh will also observe the day 
through various programme.

This year's theme is "Innovation, Trust and Sustainability: The Power of 
Accreditation."

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman issued a message on the eve of World 
Accreditation Day.

In his message, the premier stressed adopting innovative and sustainable 
production methods for survival in competitive global market, saying 
consumers are now far more aware than before. 

"Consumers are now far more aware than before. They consider not only the 
quality of products but also the ethics of production, social responsibility, 
and environmental impact. Therefore, adopting innovative and sustainable 
production methods is essential for survival in the competitive international 
marketplace," he said.

About the day, the Prime Minister said, "The World Accreditation Day reminds 
us every year of the importance of safety, quality, and trust in the products 
and services we use in our daily lives."
