3 more die from Measles, measles-like symptoms in 24 hours

DHAKA, June 21, 2026 (BSS) - Three people died from suspected measles across 
the country in the last 24 hours while 1,063 new cases of the disease were 
reported during the same period.

The information was disclosed in a press release issued today by the Control 
Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

According to the release, the number of confirmed measles cases in the last 
24 hours was 62, bringing the total number of confirmed cases recorded 
between March 15 and June 21 to 11,011.

The number of suspected measles cases recorded in the last 24 hours was 1,001 
while the total number of suspected measles cases from March 15 to June 21 
stood at 92,790.

A total of 76,859 patients with suspected measles have been admitted to 
hospitals from March 15 to June 21.

During the same period, 72,845 patients recovered and were discharged from 
hospitals.

Though no death cases from confirmed measles was reported in the last 24 
hours, three deaths from suspected measles were reported.

Since March 15, a total of 93 deaths from confirmed measles cases were 
recorded while the number of deaths from measles-like symptoms stood at 587 
between March 15 and June 21.
