Library committee members call on JS Speaker

DHAKA, June 21, 2026 (BSS) - Members of the Library Committee of the 13th 
Jatiya Sangsad (JS), led by its Chairman and Deputy Speaker Barrister Kayser 
Kamal, MP, paid a courtesy call on JS Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad, Bir Bikram, 
MP, at his office in Parliament Bhaban today.

Committee members Dr. Md. Mahabubur Rahman, Nayab Yusuf Ahmed, Mir Ahmad Bin 
Quasem, Sayeed Al Noman and Mohammad Nazibur Rahman were present at the 
meeting.

At the meeting, the report of Sub-Committee No. 3 of the Library Committee 
was formally submitted to the Speaker. The participants also held detailed 
discussions on matters related to the report and the activities of the 
committee, said a press release.

The meeting decided to convene a board meeting at a convenient time after the 
conclusion of the budget session to reconstitute the Board of Governors and 
the Executive Committee under the Bangladesh Institute of Parliamentary 
Studies (BIPS) Act, 2001.

Officials concerned of the Bangladesh Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat were also 
present at the meeting.
