DHAKA, June 28, 2026 (BSS) - The government has transferred and posted 21 senior officers of the BCS (Police) cadre, including officials holding the ranks of Additional Inspector General (AIG), Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Additional Deputy Inspector General and Superintendent of Police.

The information was disclosed in a notification issued today by the Police-1 Branch of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

According to the notification, Md. Mushfekur Rahman (promoted to the rank of Additional IG) has been posted as Additional IG at the Police Headquarters. 

Barrister Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain, Director (DIG) of the National Security Intelligence (NSI), has been promoted and appointed as Additional IG of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). 

DIG Md. Moniruzzaman has been posted as Additional IG of Police Telecom, while Faruk Ahmed, Additional Director General (DIG) of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), who has been promoted to the rank of Additional IG, has been appointed as Additional IG of the Highway Police.

At the DIG level, Proloy Chisim has been posted to the Police Training Centre (PTC) in Noakhali, Mia Masud Karim to the FDMN Office of the Armed Police Battalion (APBN), Mohammad Osman Gani to PTC Rangpur and AKM Mosharraf Hossain Miaji to PTC Khulna.

Additional DIG Moha. Asaduzzaman has been transferred to RAB, while AKM Akhtaruzzaman and Md. Kutub Uddin have been posted to the Police Headquarters. 

Md. Al Mamun has been appointed Commandant of the 2nd APBN, Sarkar Mohammad Qaiser has been transferred to the Police Staff Training School (PSTS) Betbunia and Mohammad Mohibul Islam Khan has been posted to the Bangladesh Police Academy (BPA) inSardah.

In addition, Additional DIG Md. Abdul Warish has been transferred from the River Police to PTC Rangpur. 

Additional Police Commissioner Mohammad Rashidul Islam Khan has been attached to the office of the DIG Barishal Range from Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP).

Special Superintendent of Police of CID Kazi Ehsanul Kabir has been transferred to the Police Headquarters. 

Special Superintendent of Police of SB Dhaka Md. Zahidur Rahman has been posted to the Bangladesh Police Academy in Sardah.

Superintendent of Police of the Anti-Terrorism Unit in Dhaka Salma Sayed Poly has been attached to the office of the DIG of Rangpur Range. 

Commandant of the In-Service Training Centre in Jhenaidah Md. Shahidul Islam has been attached to the office of the DIG of Barishal Range.

Superintendent of Police of Dhaka Police Telecom Md. Kamruzzaman has also been attached to the office of the DIG of Barishal Range.
