Mymensingh Zila Parishad announces Tk 39.83 crore budget for FY-2027

MYMENSINGH, June 29, 2026 (BSS) - Mymensingh Zila Parishad today announced a Tk 39.83 crore budget for the 2026-27 fiscal.

The budget was announced at a meeting held at the Zainul Abedin Auditorium of the Zila Parishad on Sunday afternoon.

Officials of the Zila Parishad presented and discussed various aspects of the proposed budget before it was unanimously approved. 

Zila Parishad Administrator Syed Emran Saleh Prince chaired the meeting and Chief Executive Officer Shah Kamrul Huda conducted it. 

Prince said the budget for FY 2026-27 was not merely an account of income and expenditure but a well-planned roadmap for the overall development, public welfare and sustainable progress of Mymensingh district.

He noted that the budget had been formulated by giving the highest priority to public expectations in line with the directives of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. 

He said ensuring the best possible utilization of every government fund remains the key goal and public money would be spent solely for public welfare. 

He added that the Zila Parishad would play a more effective role in developing rural infrastructure, educational institutions, religious and social organisations, youth development, women's empowerment and cultural advancement. 

Executive Officer Snigdha Das, Deputy Director of the Department of Social Services Raju Ahmed, District Primary Education Officer Abu Yusuf Khan, Deputy Director of the Department of Women's Affairs Naznin Sultana, District Relief and Rehabilitation Officer Rezaul Karim and UpazilaNirbahi Officer Ariful Islam attended the meeting.
