DMP arrests 110 in special raids across Tejgaon, Hazaribagh, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar

DHAKA, July 2, 2026 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested a total of 110 people in special operations conducted across the Tejgaon, Hazaribagh and Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police station areas as part of its ongoing drive against crime in the capital.

According to police, 82 suspects involved in various criminal activities were arrested during regular operations carried out in different crime-prone areas under the Tejgaon Division on Wednesday. 

In separate drives, Hazaribagh Police Station arrested 15 suspects during a special operation in its jurisdiction today (Thursday) while Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station arrested 13 suspects in a similar operation on Wednesday. 

Police said all those arrested were involved in various criminal offences. They have been produced before the respective courts for legal proceedings.

The special operations are part of DMP's continued efforts to maintain law and order and strengthen public safety across the capital.
