HSC examinations under Jashore Board begins peacefully

KHULNA, July 2, 2026 (BSS) -  Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations under the Jashore Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (JEB) commenced in 240 centers of 10 districts peacefully amid tight security today.

On the first day, two students were expelled at the Barobazar center of Jhenidah under the board during the Bangla first paper exam on charges of copying, Professor Dr Abdul Matin, controller of Examinations of the Board confirmed the incident to BSS.

A total of 84,706 students appeared in the first day public examination today, out of 86,784 registered students from 240 centers under the JEB, he said.

Earlier, the JEB issued policies including adequate security measures to ensure fair and orderly examinations.

Following the guidelines, local administrations imposed restrictions under the Section 144 Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPc) and took tight security measures in and around the exam centers.
