DHAKA, July 2, 2026 (BSS) - Jatrabari Police arrested 21 people involved in various criminal activities during a special operation conducted across the Jatrabari area of the capital on Wednesday. 

According to a police press release, five of the arrested were held in connection with regular criminal cases, three were apprehended on outstanding arrest warrants, and 13 were detained under the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Ordinance. 

Police said such special drives will continue to maintain law and order and curb criminal activities in the area. 

The arrested individuals have been produced before the relevant court following the completion of legal formalities.
