DHAKA, July 18, 2026 (BSS) – Turag police in a special drive arrested eight people in the area of the capital as part of the ongoing police anti-crime drives.

The operation was conducted on Friday in different areas under Turag Police Station, according to a statement issued by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) here today.

According to the DMP media statement, the arrested are Md Abdullah Sohel, Md Tamim Islam (19), Md Sagar  Hossain (19), Md Tuhin Ahmed (26), Aynal Haque (29), Md Abul Hossain (35), Md Yakub Hasan Sagar (29) and Md Ruhel Ali (27).

Police produced them before the court after completing legal proceedings, DMP said.

Authorities added that similar operations would continue to maintain law and order in the capital.
