DHAKA, July 26, 2026 (BSS) – Jatrabari, Bangshal and Mugda police of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 42 people involved in various criminal activities during a special operation conducted across the three police station areas of the city on Saturday. 

According to DMP’s media and public relations division press release issued here today, the arrests were made during raids carried out on July 25 in different areas.

It said they were held in connection with regular criminal cases, outstanding arrest warrants and other criminal activities. 

The DMP said Jatrabari Police Station conducted a special drive in several crime-prone areas and arrested 22 people for their alleged involvement in various criminal activities.

Bangshal Police arrested eight people from various crime-prone areas, while the Mugda police carried out a similar special drive in various crime-prone areas and arrested 12 people.

Police produced them before the court after taking legal actions, police said.
