DHAKA, Sept 5, 2026 (BSS) - Jatrabari unit of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), during a special operation conducted across its three police stations in the city on Friday, arrested 14 people involved in various criminal activities.
 
According to DMP's media and public relations division press release issued here today, Jatrabari police conducted special drives in different crime-prone areas and arrested them.

It said the arrested are identified as Farhad Hossain (50), Milon (20), Sabbir Howlader (22), Badal (20), Jahurul Islam alias Pintu Kazi (31), Rabbi Ahmed Shanto (27), Shafiqul (25), Md Zahid Hasan Tamal (28), Md Shafayet Hossain (40), Md Ismail (25), Md Yunus (28), Md Tuhin (32), Md Shawon Howlader (24) and Mustakin (38).

The DMP, however, said that the arrestees include accused in regular cases, people wanted under arrest warrants and individuals allegedly involved in various criminal activities.

Police produced them before the court after taking legal procedures.
