DHAKA, March 6, 2025 (BSS) - A marauding 32 ball-78 not out of Alauddin Babu helped Partex Sporting Club chase down a target of 300 for a stunning three-wicket victory over Prime Bank Cricket Club in a Dhaka Premier League (DPL) game at BKSP-3 ground today.

For its second straight victory, following a three-wicket win over Rupganj Tigers in the first match, Prime Bank posted a respectable 299-8 with Shamim Patwari playing yet another blazing 69. His 83 ball-98 not out was key in Prime Bank's victory in the first match after shaky start.

Shahadat Hossain Dipu also made 61 ball-64, following his 39 ball-54 in the first match.

But their knocks mattered little as Alauddin Babu came up with steely resolve despite a poor start that left Partex to a danger of yet another defeat.

Chasing the victory target of 300, they were reduced to 54-2 before captain Sabbir Rahman and Rubel Mea put on a resistance. They added 78-run for the third wicket before it was broken following the dismissal of Sabbir who made 43 ball-53 with four fours and as many sixes.

Prime Bank then kept pushing hard, taking wickets at regular intervals, leaving Partex 214-7 in 41st over. With the prospect of the victor looking slim, Alauddin Babu did the unthinkable by smashing the bowlers all corner of the park with incredible ease.

He in total smote five fours and seven sixes in his knock and dominated the unbeaten eighth wicket stand with Mohor Sheikh who made only 9 out of 86. Babu pyrotechniques eventually steered the Partex to the victor with two overs unused.
