Pakistan name T20 squad for Bangladesh series

DHAKA, May 21, 2025 (BSS)—The Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) selection panel today announced a 16-member men’s squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh.

Salman Ali Agha will continue as the captain for the series.

The series marks the beginning of Mike Hesson’s tenure as head coach of the national side.

Vice-captain Shadab Khan returns to the squad alongside experienced names such as Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, and Hasan Ali.

Star batters Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and pace spearhead Shaheen Shah Afiri were rested.

The squad has been selected based on players’ performances in the ongoing HBL PSL X, which concludes on May 25.

The three matches are slated to be held on May 28, 30 and June 1. All three matches will take place at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.

Pakistan squad: Salman Ali Agha (captain), Shadab Khan (vice-captain), Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, Hassan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Haris (wicket-keeper), Mohammad Wasim Jnr, Muhammad Irfan Khan, Naseem Shah, Sahibzada Farhan (wicket-keeper) and Saim Ayub.
