NETROKONA, Nov 17, 2025 (BSS) - A man was killed in a road accident in Bamni area on the Kolmakanda-Thakurakona road in Kolmakanda upazila of the district today.

The deceased was Md Shahinur Alam Akand, an accountant of Kolmakanda upazila, at Satgaon village of Khaliajuri upazila.

The accident occurred when a motorbike rider Akand lost control over the steering and fell into a roadside ditch. Locals rescued and sent him to Upazila Health Complex, where the attending doctors declared him dead.

Kolmakanda Thana Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Lutfur Rahman confirmed the incident.
