SHERPUR, May 21, 2025 (BSS)- The month-long athletics training for under-14 boys’ and girls’, organized by the Sherpur District Sports Office, concluded today (Wednesday).

The closing program was held at conference room of the Deputy Commissioner's Office, Rajnigandha.

The closing ceremony was presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Hafiza Jasmine, and conducted by District Sports Officer Dhirendra Chandra Sarkar. Deputy Commissioner Tarafdar Mahmudur Rahman was present in the program as the chief guest.

The District Sports Office said that month-long athletics training was organized under the Sports Department's annual sports program 2024-2025 to celebrate the Youth Festival-2025.

He said six to eight best talented athletes among the trainees would be sent to the division to participate at the national level and form a divisional team.

District Sports Association members Md. Jinnat Ali, Farid Ahmed Lulu and journalist Rafiq Majid were also present as special guests at the event.

After the program, certificates were distributed among the trainees.
