DHAKA, May 23, 2025 (BSS)- The School Kho Kho tournament has begun at Paltan ground adjoining the National Stadium in the capital today (Friday).

A total of 13 school teams, including seven boys' and six girls', are participating in the two-day tournament, sponsored by Global Insurance Limited and organised by the Bangladesh Kho Kho Federation.

Global Insurance Limited Chairman SM Sarwar Alam formally inaugurated the meet as the chief guest with Bangladesh Kho Kho Federation president AHM Ziaul Haque in the chair.

Chairman of the Tournament Committee Engineer Abdul Muktadir, federation's general secretary Meer Kaiser Sadik, its former general secretary Fazlur Rahman Babul and tournament's member secretary Matiur Rahman Babul were present as special guests.

On the first day of the meet, Haider Ali High School, Alhaj Zafar Bepari High School, Mouchak Scout School and College won the boys' group. 

On the other hand, Siddheswari Girls' High School, Lake Circus Girls' High School, Mouchak School and College won their respective girls' group matches.
