Ansar, BGB advance Men's Handball final

DHAKA, May 30, 2025 (BSS)-Bangladesh Ansar and Border Guard (BGB) advanced to 
the final of 35th National Men's Handball competition beating their 
respective rivals in the semifinals held at Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali 
National Handball Stadium in the capital today (Friday).

The final match will be held tomorrow (Saturday) at the same venue at 3 pm.

Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain is expected to present in 
the final as the chief guest and distribute the prizes. 

In the day's first semifinal, group A champions Bangladesh Ansar beat group D 
champions Bandarban District Sports Association (DSA) by 39-19 goals after 
leading the first half by 25-7 goals.

While in the day's second semifinal, B group champions BGB defeated group C 
champions Bangladesh Police Handball Club by 39-24 goals after dominating the 
first half 21-14 goals.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Police finished third position in the meet defeating 
Bandarban DSA by 37-22 goals after leading the first half by 16-11 goals in 
the place-deciding encounter also held at the same venue in the afternoon.
