The much-anticipated verdict was delivered by a three-member panel of the International Crimes Tribunal-1, headed by Justice Md. Golam Mortuza Mozumdar.

As soon as the verdict was announced, people waiting outside the tribunal began cheering, chanting slogans celebrating the pronouncement of the verdict.

Members of the law enforcement agencies were on alert in and around the tribunal to maintain security and prevent any untoward incident.
